The beautiful weather is here and it's almost beach season! However if you're like me and the beach is not so close by, this necklace is a cute way to keep it close by :)
Reminiscent of picking up seashells by the shore, this necklace has a boho/hippie vibe to it. Perfect accessory to pair with a maxi dress or shorts and tank.
On the chain you will find a slew of goodies from the shore. The first is a hand sculpted starfish, no molds used and I've made it look very realistic by adding loads of texture and raised spots everywhere. I then added several washes of color to add depth and a gloss to make it look like you just pick it up from the shore :) Some beach sand has been glued down to some parts of it to finish the look. The starfish measures about 1 1/2'' wide.
Next is a swirly sea shell in mixed colors, this shell was also hand sculpted and glossed. The swirl shell measures about 1 3/4'' long.
Then you have two small bottle charms measuring each 1'' tall. The first one contains a sample of water from the sea. The second one has beach sand and a cute little message in a bottle with a string tied around it.
Both bottles have been permanently sealed with a cork and sealant.
All the charms are hanging from the tassels found below the starfish (which is set in the center of the necklace), these tassels measure 4 inches long for a bit of fun swing to this piece.
Above the star fish, along the chain you will also find two glass beads on each side set in the chain. The beads are multi-colored in blues,yellow, greens and fuchsia color with black swirls on top, very pretty!
This necklace is meant to be worn longer on the body, the chain is a generous 32'' in length, is silver plated and has a spring ring closure.
This item comes in a pretty gift box and is bubble wrapped for extra precaution.
