Okay, I tried coming up with a clever tittle for this piece but nothing came to mind except for the song "Stuck on You" so this will have to do :)
This piece was inspired from the lush greenery of the tropical rainforest and it's littlest of creatures that come in a gorgeous variety of colors (like little frogs) some are poisonous but you're safe with this little one :)
Great to pair with a maxi dress or summer outfit, with it's burst of fresh colors, you're sure to get many compliments wearing this necklace!
This little frog in particular is the Red Poison Dart Frog, it has been hand sculpted from clay with great attention to detail. I then painted on numerous washes of color to give it depth and a realistic look. There is even texture that has been added and then a coat of varnish to seal it all up, giving a wet frog skin look at the same time.
At the top are some lush green leaves and a red tropical flower, also very detailed, painted and varnished.
The frog is about 1 1/2'' in diameter and is solidly held down with jewelry glue to a beautiful green agate stone.
The agate measures 3'' long.
This item is a one of a kind piece, I can certainly make more frogs but the agate is what makes this piece a unique one, each agate has it's own swirls, grooves and patterns that I cannot duplicate, making this piece extra special :)
The pendant hangs from a 18'' cable style, silver plated chain with a spring ring closure.
This item comes in a pretty gift box and is bubble wrapped for extra precaution.
